The Pro Football Hall of Fame Academy spent last weekend (June 8th-10th) in Sacramento California working with the top football talent in the area. The NoCal Showcase allowed players to show off their talent and see how they stack up against other area talent. The NoCal Showcase allowed many players that have been overlooked to get noticed by scouts and coaches. Ben Dooley is a perfect example! An 6’5”, this 290 pound offensive tackle was able to gain exposure, receiving interest from multiple universities. Coach Gary Howard referred to the player as a “rising star, with big potential”. While at the NoCal Showcase about 25 golden tickets were handed to players that showed promise inviting them to the Academy series at the Pro Football Hall of Fame this July.

Players from California that missed this past weekend’s event still have an opportunity to get noticed.. On June 22nd the SoCal Showcase will be taking place in LA at Fullerton Junior College. This event is expected to have around 200 athletes come to display their talents to scouts and coaches. More golden tickets are at stake as top players will get the invite to the Hall!
